VMS Announces Agreement with Nielsen Monitor-Plus for Television Advertisement Identification

 

New York , NY – May 8, 2006 – VMS, the worldwide leader in integrated media intelligence solutions is announcing an important content agreement with Nielsen Monitor-Plus, a service of Nielsen Media Research .

 

Nielsen Monitor-Plus will provide VMS with near-real time, automated identification of breaking television commercials. VMS will continue to add descriptive information to each advertisement, incorporating important metadata that is critical to VMS’ customers.

 

VMS will also leverage its unparalleled digital capture network, reaching all 210 U.S. broadcast markets, and deliver the highest quality creative to its thousands of customers.

 

Included in the agreement is identification of new commercials from national broadcast networks, national cable networks, national Spanish-language network TV, national Spanish-language cable TV, and barter syndicated programming as distributed via satellite and local broadcast stations in the top 100 Designated Market Areas (DMAs)®.

 

This premium content will support VMS’ AdSight product, a customizable, integrated, web-based application, that lets users search, filter, track and organize competitive advertising intelligence data from their desktop. AdSight, introduced in April, includes television, print, radio, Internet and outdoor data. AdSight will provide customers with instant access to millions of advertisements in VMS’ unmatched commercial library.

 

AdSight is the first phase of VMS’ IMI platform deployment. Phase II, focusing specifically on editorial content and quantitative analytics, is scheduled for release during the 4th quarter of 2006. Phase III, integrating advertising and editorial content with analytics, is scheduled for release in early 2007.
