BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING

January 20, 2016

ITEM #1 Pledge of Allegiance

ITEM #2 Mr. Kittrell called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M on January 20, 2016.

ITEM #3 Roll Call: Ms. Mays, Mr. Kittrell, Mr. Trotter, Mr. Viteritti and Ms. Dennis were present.

ITEM #4 Approval of Agenda:  Ms. Dennis made a motion to approve the agenda for January 21, 2016, Ms. Mays seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

ITEM #5 Election of Officers:  Ms. Dennis made a motion that the all officers remain the same. Mr. Kittrell Chairmen, Mr. Viteritti Secretary, and Ms. Dennis Treasurer, Ms. Mays seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

ITEM #6  Approval of the Minutes:  Ms. Dennis made a motion to approve the minutes for the October 21, 2015 Board Meeting and the November 12, 2015 special meeting to approve 2014/2015 C.G.I.D Audit as published, Ms. Mays seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

ITEM #7 Public Comments: There were none.

ITEM #8 Approval of the TreasurerŐs report: Mr. Viteritti made a motion to approve the TreasurerŐs Report for January 20, 2016, Ms. Dennis seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

ITEM #9 Delinquencies: Mr. Andreini stated that there are 9 delinquencies this month.

ITEM #10 Appointment of a Board member to the Storey County Debt Management Committee:  Ms. Dennis made a motion to retain Mr. Kittrell for the Storey County Debt Management Committee, Ms. Mays seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

ITEM #11 Set Tariff Hearing for the March 16, 2016 Board Meeting to approve Waste Management Increase of $.20: Mr. Andreini stated that the cost of the trash increase will only be 20 cents per month this year probably due to lower fuel costs. Ms. Dennis made a motion to approve the Tariff Hearing during the regular scheduled Board Meeting on March 16, 2016, Ms. Mays seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

ITEM # 12 Correspondence written to Board Member: Mr. Kittrell mentioned that the 2014/2015 Annual Fiscal Audit for the G.I.D. was approved by the Nevada Department of Taxation and there were no violations.

ITEM #13 Staff reports: Mr. Andreini stated that if any resident was interested in knowing the lead content of the drinking water, it is .01, we are allowed up to .15. Since we have very low lead levels the test is only conducted every seven years. Mr. Andreini also stated that several of our heaters broke in Water Plants 1 and 2. The cost will be approximately $4,000 to have two replaced with more efficient heaters and the other one repaired. Mr. Andreini also stated that the new water line extension along Peri Ranch Road is almost completed. Dean Haymore, C.G.I.D Employees, and Nevada Department of Environmental Protection will be inspecting the construction. The line will eventually have up to three or four new customers. The district will also collect fees for connections plus the initial filling of the 650,000 gallon fire suppression tank.
