Foremen

Requirements:

-Ability to apply various finishes to concrete including, broom finish, steel trowel, rubbed plaster (for stair ends)
-Ablity to apply apply edge finishes with a hand or standing edger
-Ability to provide guidance to new finishers, apprentices, and laborers about forming and finishing
-Knowledge about requirements for forming pours
-Knowledge about reinforcement methods and requirements (mainly rebar placement)
-Knowledge about control joints and kerf board placement
-Basic knowledge of IRC/IBC and local building codes
-Basic knowledge of OSHA requirements
-Must have several years of experience as a concrete finisher
-Ability to work long hours in both hot and cold conditions
-Ability to lift 50 lbs
-Must have basic finishing and hand tools and knowledge and ability to use them safely and properly
-Must have valid drivers license
-Must be able to safely operate a vehicle with a trailer
-Must have knowledge of safety requirements and safe work practices
-Must be willing and able to do paperwork (turn in payroll hours, safety paperwork, and vehicle inspections as needed)
-Must be willing and able to conduct safety meetings with crew
-Foremen experience is a plus but not required
