VMS ACQUIRES BROADCAST NEWS MONITORING COMPANY MEDIAMON

Third in series of business-expanding acquisitions for market leader


New York, NY - May 5, 2004 - VMS, the world leader in news and advertising monitoring and analysis services, today announced that it has acquired Mediamon, the nation's fifth largest broadcast monitoring company.


Mediamon, based in Florida, provides news monitoring services, including television and radio news clips, transcripts and online news tracking reports to a number of companies across a broad range of industries. With this transaction, VMS further strengthens its depth of capability of delivering integrated media intelligence to its customers.


This marks VMS' third such acquisition in the last several weeks. In late March, the company acquired Broadcast News Clips and advertising monitoring company AIS. This represents a portion of a multi-million dollar commitment to invest in the company via acquisitions, new product development, and brand marketing. VMS is rapidly expanding its national and local market presence, deepening its content database, and focusing aggressively on delivering the highest-order media intelligence solutions to Fortune 1000 companies, and their public relations and advertising agencies.
