Preferred oral method:

 

Methylprednisolone 32 mg PO, 12 hours and 2 hours prior to exam. Benadryl is not required.

 

 

Preferred IV method:

 

Hydrocortisone 200 mg, 2 doses 4 hours apart. Plus, 50 mg IV Benadryl with last dose. Wait one hour to scan after last dose.
