Q1. Why do I
see multiple versions of BluesWorship content for artists at their YouTube
Channel? [Back
to top]
A1. I do not claim to be a “critic”. I am trying
to supply an enormous, but easy to navigate blues music ecosystem [Definition
of ecosystem: ].
There are nearly infinite factors that apply to “content” at YouTube.
Here is a brief breakdown of issues for content, and choices I make in populate
an artist’s BluesWorship YouTube Channel.
·
I
do NOT include any of the videos everybody thinks they need to take at concerts
and the put on YouTube. The videos SHAKE
most of the time. They have one view most of the time bad. The sound is LAME
and picks up any drunk bozos near the person filming.
Only in a very RARE case of a very unique or onetime event to I grudgingly add
the content.
·
Older
content is highly variable on where, when how it was recorded. There are
debates out there about just exactly what speed is correct for some songs. I am
not stepping into any of that. That is what is awesome about BluesWorship you are the judge I just add them all and then
you figure it out for yourself.
·
Content
taken from records (vinyl) are very dependent on the condition of the record.
From new to ancient scratchy warped records are out there. I try to add most.
Only if it is pretty bad to I pass but again if it is a unique or very rare
piece of content do I add something kind of bad.
· How everything is recorded has
variables which make them different possibly.
Q2. What is a
“BluesWorship
YouTube Channel”? [Back to top]
A2. Anyone can create a “Channel” at YouTube. “BluesWorship”
is MY YouTube “Channel. However in constructing the BluesWorship
ecosystem, every artist I add has in YouTube terminology has a “Playlist” at my
BluesWorship YouTube Channel. However from the beginning of the BluesWorship
ecosystem I named EVERY artist’s playlist with this terminology:
“Artist
name” at BluesWorship
Thus I have morphed the YouTube
terminology to fit my BluesWorship ecosystem. Every artists
has their own Channel at BluesWorship’s YouTube
Channel.
Q3. What
are the links: “Listen / Watch to “ARTIST” at YouTube using BluesWorship”? [Back to top]
A3. These are a page for the artist where I have
put the title, type of content and time information along with a column for
comments. Making these pages and then filling in information is the MOST TIME
CONSUMING activity I have in regards to the BluesWorship ecosystem. As time
goes on eventually other than adding more content, this will become my main
activity.
The POWERFUL thing about these pages is I am making them in
Microsoft Excel and then publishing them in .HTML format. These are ALL LINKS to
the content at YouTube. A person can take one of these pages load into back
into Microsoft Excel and rearrange the content and removing things to create
their own custom YouTube “Playlist” or Channel in my lingo!
I will be adding help document /
video on how to do this eventually.
Q4. You
have so many links,
why not provide links to buying music? [Back to top]
A4. I
place a link to the “OFFICIAL website” of an artist if they have one.
PLEASE BUY ARTISTS MUSIC!
If you are going to look to purchase music for an artist you find at
BluesWorship PLEASE TRY THEIR WEBSITE FIRST AND IF CAN PURCHASE FROM THEIR
WEBSITE DO THAT not some monster giant retail method.
Q5. Why
are there commercials in the YouTube videos? [Back to top]
A5. I am linking to existing content on YouTube.
If there are adds, short where you can “Skip Ad” and
long where you must watch the entire commercial, I have no control or income
from these videos. I have no responsibility for any possible issues with
Copyright infringement.
Q6. Why do you use “Known by Names” instead of
an artists real name? [Back to top]
A6. How many people are going to look for
“Chester Arthur Burnett”, or more appropriately “Burnett, Chester Arthur” when
they are trying to find the great blues master “Howlin’
Wolf”? Examples abound thus it makes
total sense to list people by their best known name for recording / playing
live.
Q7. What is the column “BW Content” on the
guitarists name & year born pages? [Back to top]
A7. This refers to the “Listen / Watch (NAME)”
link on each artist’s page. This is an .html page which YOU can use and
customize yourself in Microsoft Excel and make your own sub-lists for specific
content. [On request I will assist with this.]
These pages are powerful pages and the number
is how many pieces of content have been added to this page. It will always be
less than or equal to the “YouTube Content”. The content entries have comments
to help you quickly see if it is a video or audio, and comments when appropriate
are added as time permits.
Q8. What is the column “YouTube Content”? [Back to top]
A7. This is referring to the artist’s BluesWorship YouTube Channel. Every
artist has a BluesWorship “Channel” under the YouTube
Channel BluesWorship. This is how many pieces of
total content are populated into the artist’s BluesWorship
Channel.
Q9. What can “CONTENT” be? [Back to top]
A9. Content can be any of the following:
|
· Recording of vinyl. |
· Recording of tapes. |
· Compact Discs. |
|
· Recorded old film. |
· Analog Television. |
· Analog film. |
|
· Recordings of live videos sources. |
· Recordings of live audio sources |
· PHONE video only in special cases. |
|
· Official full albums. |
· Official live video. |
· PHONE videos |
Content could
be anything from a less than one minute rare audio / video piece to official
full albums of an artist (sometimes all their catalog) to full concerts running
over two hours. Documentaries and movies when really worthy
