Good Day Everyone!
Hopping this newsletter finds everyone doing well, safe, and healthy.
Spring has arrived and with the longer days, I am feeling very optimistic the worst of the pandemic is behind us and we can start participating in the activities we all enjoyed.
I'm thrilled to report that the Spring Luncheon will take place on Tuesday, May 10th at Ivar’s Salmon House on the north shore of Lake Union. Details below and on our website. Although we loved being at Dukes in December, Ivar's is giving us a better deal. Plus, it has free parking!
Important Note about the luncheon: Our private room holds a maximum of 40, so please sign up early! (No penalty for cancelling up to a week before the event.) And we will not be able to accomodate walk-ins on the day of the event.
We have also scheduled our summer picnic for Wednesday, August 17th at Lincoln Park in West Seattle. Look for details in our next newsletter or on our website.
Another fun activity scheduled for late summer is a guided tour of Seattle’s Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum and BBQ lunch on September 7th in Kent. I did not even know we had such a museum, and I am exited to see it. (Thanks to Steve Hagen who set this up.)
We will keep you updated on all these events on our website and with all-user emails.
We are continuing our search for foiks to join our board. New board members bring new ideas and a new prospective to our organization. If you are interested or have questions, please contact me or another board member. Board meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 12:30 pm.
Thank you for your continued support of the RCLEA and I look forward to seeing you at one of the upcoming functions.
I want to wish all a good, safe. and healthy Spring;
Tony Raimondi, RCLEA President
