Bereavement Support

The Bereavement Support is a nine-week course for anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one. You can meet in a safe place with others who understand how you are feeling and who are experiencing the same phases of grief. It is a place where everyone can share their stories of their loved one. This support

group also helps to support people on their path of acceptance and balanced life.

The Compassionate Friends is a nonprofit, self-help bereavement support organization for families that have experienced the death of a child. They offer friendship, understanding, and hope to bereave parents, grandparents, and adult siblings during the natural grieving process after a child of any age has died.

If you or a loved one has suffered a stroke or brain injury, you are not alone in the recovery process. Out Rehabilitation Services post-stroke program can help by providing a variety of strategies. Through physical, speech, and occupational therapies, we can assist you to regain your quality of life.

The Stroke and Brain Injury Support Group is free and open to any who has experienced a stroke as well as their caregivers, family, or friends. The support group provides comfort during the recovery process. Guest speakers and members of the Rehabilitation services staff target specific topics in the recovery process. No reservations are required to attend.

Canyon Vista Medical Center and the Willie Cotton Jr. Chapter of the Us TOO Support Group will provide a support group meeting for prostate cancer survivors, their spouses, care givers, newly diagnosed men, and

other interested persons. The group’s mission is to help men and their families make informed decisions

about prostate cancer detection and treatment through support, education, and advocacy. Programs

include presentations by health care professionals, care givers, cancer survivors and dietitians.
